O How about promoting Astronomy and Sky &Tel at the same time. Every time you
O hope in the car to go to the mall, or some public place, take one copy with
O you, and "accidentally" leave it around for someone to find .In no time at
O all, they will be gone.. You never know who might pick it up, and get
O hooked...Somebody will, as the covers are almost always eye catchers..

One little addon. Fold a membership form for you astronomy club
into the issue, liek a blowin or bookmark. This is specially so if
that form offers the club's S&T or Astronomy discount subscription.
The bebefit of doing this is, one, to earn new members for your club;
two, let people who may not join right away that your club exists
(there's a website or phone on the form?); three, you get some
feedback on how many people in your vicinity did pick up that 'lost'
magazine.
