I both live and work in a rural area. I see on a daily basic the hard
gutbusting work my dear friends & colleagues do. Many of them working
20hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for years and years and
years. And for what??

Sounds like they don't know when to give up. If climate change has made
certain farming practices untenable, then the logical thing to do is
terminate the activity, either permanently or until conditions improve.

They may get minimal return for their produce and it is the greedy
middlemen that line their pockets at the expense of primary producers
honourable hard work.

Why is a farmer's work more honourable than say, the manager of a
supermarket? Is it because the farmer drives a ute and gets dirty while
supermarket manager drives a BMW? Is there some god given righteousnous
assigned to farmers that others don't get?
