Dear group,
Finally there is some activity on Sol. Just coming around into view is the sunspot group AR10960 which has generated a fairly impressive gravitational field and there is concern for sizeable X-class flares. For an image taken a few hours ago through clouds, I kindly direct you to http://www.perseus.gr/Astro-Solar-Su...2007-06-03.htm . I tried using my Baader Solar Continuum Filter but I could not focus which perhaps (?) may have been due to the clouds. I will have to wait for another opportunity with much better transparency. Clear skies. Anthony. |

Lovely photo Anthony. I've been following this region with both of my PST's over the last few days (rather a backlog of processing to get through). Curse my luck, I have not seen the sun since /the/ /day/ /before/ the large sunspot group came into view. Anyone want to be when I'll see the sun again? :-( Davoud -- usenet *at* davidillig dawt com |
