Default Venus - 30 April 2007, 22:37BST, colour problem...

Had a look at Venus tonight for the first time in my upward looking hobby.

It was around Auriga and very bright. I had been led to believe that Venus
was a blueish colour to observe, but I thought it was yellower than a yellow
thing.

Is it yellow? Was I looking in the wrong place, or at the wrong object?
