Near Miss but still hit

I was hopeing to go tonight, the wind was dieing down, but the temp was
falling fast, it was down to 38 by 7pm and then I found a rubber foot had
come off the rocker box, so the combo of the two kept me home. It looks like
it'll be the first before I can afford some jb weld for that foot, so I'll
have to find a bit of wood I can set the scope on. These temps down in the
30's are not my fav's for being out there and most sunday nights are low
anyway.

I spent most of yesterday getting ready to head up to the Star corner, but
I noticed a cold wind starting up about 3pm. So I watched it and check the
weather page too. Just as I figured the wind might die down enough to set
up there was a crack outside, I went out and a mid sized tree branch had
busted and came down and laned on the end of my 10inch dob.
I checked and the main mirror was ok. Today I checked it over and spent
the last 30 mins realining the optics. There is now a smallesh dent in
the metal body tube but it is ahead of the mirror.

Come the time I have B8 back in use, I'll see if I can remove B10's
mirror and use those auto dent pullers so I can remove the dent. A 45mph
gust of wind had ripped this area then.

Oh ya, wind didn't die down until almost 11pm. Today so far no wind.

So scope in in the rear of CFH for a trip tonight if it's ok.
