' I'm trying to phrase this kindly... ...this is some very... imaginative... police work. The majority of these "meteor starts fire" stories come out of the third world. Sad to see it from Germany. I guess the police can't be expected to know better, but the folks at Bochum Observatory should have set them straight. While it is a virtual certainty that the fire wasn't caused by a meteor at all, the suggestion that it was caused by an Orionid (which is how I interpret this) is especially ludicrous. _________________________________________________ Chris L Peterson Cloudbait Observatory http://www.cloudbait.com |

I think the guy was smoking in bed, but a meteor sounds better. _________________________________________________ Chris L Peterson Cloudbait Observatory http://www.cloudbait.com |
