The main emotion for most people is their religious beliefs. It was a
great obstacle in the middle ages. In medieval times the
soul(spirit,and the afterworld(heaven) was superior to here and
now.(crock of ****) Thankfully in this modern world this is not shared
by all,and I can post this post. Best to keep away from religious
groups,and their preachers Give more respect to individualism Focus not
on the hocus pocus of Gods. What makes this reality is
now we do have a modern world,and lhumankind was able to move out of the
Middle Ages. Still religious wars just won't go away. I just hope the
medieval Gods don't come back to Earth. Bert

More people have been killed in the name of religion than for any other
cause ... ever. Even those who worship the same entity, but with slight
variations, kill each other over who is right and who is wrong. The
Protestants and the Catholics in Ireland. The Sunnis and the Sheites and
the list goes on. We will find peace only when all religions are abolished.
What would unite humankind is the appearance of Aliens. It would show those
religious knuckleheads that there are other beings, despite their pipedream
scripture, in which they claim that Gawd made this Earth just for us, his
pet project, and created humans only, in the entire Universe. There really
should be an "open season" on the planet to rid it of the brainwashed nuts
who collectively live in a fantasy world.

agree on Gods being the opium of humankind. You are right people of the
same family can hate each other. Religion gives people the right to
kill in the name of their God 9/11 gives this evidence. Allah is
the God of Muslims,and it was the last word yelled out as the planes hit
the Towers. If their belief comes true these Muslim terrorists are in
heaven having sex with 50 young virgin girls. Some might think they

In godless Soviet Russia under Stalin, certain dubious scientific
theories were made dogma because they supported their political
ideology. Scientists who made jokes about it were sent to Siberia
and/or killed. It is part of the true story of the great physicist
George Gamow, Big Bang theorist, who finally escaped that oppression.
Religious people have no corner on killing people because of their
ideas. The godless can do an excellent job of that themselves.
