What utter nonsence - Isacc Asimov is far better.

I personally prefer John Stuart Mill. Asimov wrote about the laws of
robotics. However he begs an awful lot of questions. One of the things
dogging Christian moral philosophy thoughout the centuries has been the
question of pacifism. Asimov gives us absolutely no clues. No robot
hurting a human. Suppose someone is going for you?

I prefer to have a moral philosopher with some credentials like Aquinas
with his concept of "just war", or John Stuart Mill for a completely
secular approach. Asimov you see played at being a moral philosopher,
and he isn't.

As far as robotic behaviour is concerned, this is what the manufacturer
programs in. If you want to destroy a target in Beirut and place your
bomb with 2m accuracy the electronic system will do it for you. Is this
a moral desire? Pass, however Sheik Nasrallah has said that the ****es
cannot fight another war in the forseeable future, so perhaps it was
right.
