Default Russian Clipper

The sense or intuition that I had in re the Klipper was that it was being
"developed" on speculation, hoping to get funding from NASA or ESA or
even Russia. The main effort to date has been in the aerodynamic
modeling. That plus a wooden mock up.

I think that it would be a great idea for Energia and Aerospatiale to
team up on this as the Ariane 5 would seem to be made to order in terms
of payload capability.

It was. Ariane 5 was specifically designed for Hermes.

It was. Ariane 5 was specifically designed for Hermes.

Come to think of it, Energia would be nuts to design a ship that was not
compatible with the Ariane 5.
