Default How to classify this formation?

http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=5... 911&t=k&om=1

What is this? Impact Crater? Karst collapse? Or, could it be formed as
flood-lands from the very beginning?

What kind of additional features should be taken into account when
visiting this place (without drilling, excavating etc.)
