My first car was a '62 Ford Galaxy 500. Loved it...never thought it was
beneath me! ;-)

I had a '70 once, bright red, black top, 351C and it
was perfect body/paint wise. Shame the C 5 trans had
a linkage problem, used to have to put the car's
emergency brake on, lie down next to it and reach in and
by hand shift into the gear I wanted. This lasted
only a short while but was interesting.
Beautiful car tho !!

Google brings up Sagittarius Dwarf along with the LMC.
I heard the closest galaxy visible to the naked eye
was Andromeda.

Funny,funny,funny.

Using the constellations in determining galactic locations generates a
hilarious spectacle and I assure you that whatever meaningful
explanation you seem to be providing,it is entirely comical,at least to
a real astronomer.

With one single graphic it is possible to see how the dumb theorists
are coming up with every-valid-point-is-the-center junk along with the
incredibly silly attempt to model celestial structure and motion using
the Ra/Dec constellation system.

Our galaxy appears to be surrounded by 60 or so small galaxies at
varying distances (Science News 7/1/2006), many of which are being
shredded and consumed by the Milky Way.
Where are you measuring from, our solar system, the galactic core the
nearest edge of the Milky Way (and how do you define that)?
