"Each of the six galaxies which you will pass through contain their own individual law of space and time." Kind of a long, roundabout trip if Krypton is in the Milky Way. No way. Laws of physics remain the same across all the galaxies of a single universe. They "may" be different only in a different parallel universe. btw, why did he choose a trajectory that was passing THROUGH the 6 galaxies? There is a huge vacuum in between galaxies, he could have chosen an inter-galactic bye-pass path. Why fiddle with the risk of colliding against some stray asteroid when you have absolute vacuum available. The 1978 film was written by people who had no idea what the difference is between a solar system and a galaxy. Therefore, we're stuck with nonsense such as the "known galaxies" and Kal-El passing through a bunch of them on his way to Earth. The 1978 people also had no idea what "the laws of space and time" might be, but the phrase sure sounded good to them. We can also wonder how green kryptonite got all the way to Earth all the way from another galaxy without benefit of star drive. We don't see any being dragged along by Kal-El's ship. |
