![]() I've now gotten a copy of the 31 Jan 2006 Washington AeroSpace Briefing item about Boeing asking $500M termination fees after screwing up the optical part of FIA. Down at the bottom of the article, there's this interesting factoid concerning how LockMart may handle the situation: As we all know, the optical portion of the NRO's imaging satellite architecture is now back with its legacy contractor. Lockheed Martin, we're told, is building one satellite using parts left over from the last generation of the Keyhole system, with some upgrades to bring its capabilities more in line with those envisioned for FIA. And after that? |
