I've just been outside observing a beautiful halo round the moon. I've never
seen one so big or such a perfect circle - you could almost convince yourself there were colours visible in it - maybe there were? Is this possible? Not having a good enough camera to do it justice, I just had to content myself with trying to memorize it. Maybe somebody else better equipped has managed to capture it? (I'm in NW Cumbria, by the way.) ally |

I've marvelled at some of your superb photos in the past - I can imagine what you'd have made of the Cumbrian view of that halo. ally |

(I'm in NW Cumbria, by the way.) I saw it too from my back garden (near Alnwick, Northumberland) and stood looking for ages. Not very defined, though it looked nice through the fine clouds/misty stuff. Couldn't see any colours though. My third moon halo so far! -halli- |
