Default Observing chair at Lidl ?

Having just bought timber etc. to make a 'Denver Chair' (hmmph!) I now
see that Lidl are doing a similar adjustable height seat for UKP8.99
this week:

Interesting - It' seems more of a perch [for ironing] rather than an observing chair but anything that increases the comfort of the observer, IMHO, improves the 'view'. Pic below [for those who can see such].

Had you NOT put a space at each end to stand-off the brackets,
OE (at least) would keep the URL together and it would be clickable!

You can use and as well to do the same job.

Ian - went into Lidls lunchtime and the large cardboard crate had only one left. It's pretty heavy and rather topheavy and IMO it could be unstable outdoors. I'll stick to my £5 canvas fold chair from Tesco!

I got one. It offers a pretty similar perch to the denver chair I found
plans for. It will do until I get some more tuits to make the Denver
chair but then I'm using it on a patch of concrete; it could be a great
way to break your neck on soft grass :-)

I have had one of these for ages. It was a couple of quid in a charity
shop.

Downside(s):

It is heavy.
The seat tends to flop down when it is carried resulting in very clean
amputations of any remaining thumbs.
The height adjustment is via a long rod with screwed knobs. Not clever
in the dark but it works just as well with one knob missing for quick
changes of height.

Upside(s):

No problem with toppling (so far) even on my very uneven lawn around
the pier.
It allows much greater concentration on the image. Like the difference
between holding binos normally and having them on a mounting.
It has a cloth covered seat so doesn't get horribly wet from dew like
vinyl does.

If memory serves the ironing board accessory seat is visible in the
carefully posed piccy I posted he :-)

And no, I'm not a lardy. It's just my very thick, down-filled,
observing jacket. ;-)
