For some reason, the laptop crapped out after about 1600 frames per
run,
even though I thought I'd captured 3-4000 each time. Serves me right
for
using a "retired" Dell laptop, but my "real" laptop died last week.

Anyway - comments and suggestions welcomed so I can get better at
this.

I love this hobby, despite this being the first time I got a chance to
do it
since I took some pics of Mars back in November. Nice clear skies
tonight,
seeing seemed a bit crappy though. Plus some light pollution from
shooting
directly over an "A" road about 15 metres away (although not a
particularly
busy or lighted one) as I didn't wait until midnight or so when the
positioning would have been better.

Great images Alasdair! These are interest to the BAA Mars and Saturn
Section[s]for analysing changes etc but they need to be timed in UT [24
hr Universal Time = GMT] to the minute. Hope these comments are
helpful.

Thanks for your comments. I'll go back and time stamp them all.

BTW - you are pretty close to me. Would it be OK if I was to come and take a
look at your domes some time ? I am thinking of building my own some time
soon and your webpages are extremely interesting to me. (apologies if I
accidentally have you confused with someone else)
