Which is even worth paying for if you aren't a Demon customer, IMO.
If I wasn't used to Turnpike I would probably look at Mozilla
Thunderbird.

I used Turnpike happily while I was on dialup, but once I switched to
broadband it seemed unnecessarily clunky. Thunderbird is an excellent
email client, but not nearly so satisfactory for news. I've yet to find
a news client I'm completely happy with, but Gravity[1] is the best I've
come up with so far.
