2003/7/2 Update
First Demonstration of HSFD Phase II Phase II of the High Speed Flight Demonstration (HSFD) was held at the European Space Range (Esrange), Sweden, at 6:03 a.m. on July 1 (Tue), 2003, Kiruna Local Time (1:03 p.m. on the same day, Japan Time). The flight went smoothly, and scheduled flight data acquisition was successfully performed. However, unfortunately the vehicle was partially damaged because its recovery system did not work properly. The condition of the vehicle is currently under examination. -- ---- Jacques :-) Editor: www.spacepatches.info ------------------------------------------------------ |
