Default mars?

Second time around tonight!!!
Waiting for the moon to appear to look for Saturn I noticed a spectacular
bright light in the eastern sky right by a group of six small stars that
look like a chip pan could this be Mars?
Thanks again Dave B
P.s at this rate I'll have Patrick Moores job.

Yes, that's Mars. It should have an orange tint to it.

I'm guessing that this is your chip pan?

P.S. The moon isn't due to rise until after 3am so you've got a bit of
a wait on your hands ;-)

Hi dave,

The last issue of Sky at Night magazine had an excellent program called
Starry Nights on the cover disk. It's a cracking way to learn you way
around the sky.

All the best
Gaz
