Second time around tonight!!!
Waiting for the moon to appear to look for Saturn I noticed a spectacular bright light in the eastern sky right by a group of six small stars that look like a chip pan could this be Mars? Thanks again Dave B P.s at this rate I'll have Patrick Moores job. |

Yes, that's Mars. It should have an orange tint to it.
I'm guessing that this is your chip pan? http://www.ras.ucalgary.ca/~gibson/pleiades/ Cheers, Andy. |

P.S. The moon isn't due to rise until after 3am so you've got a bit of
a wait on your hands ;-) |

Hi dave,
The last issue of Sky at Night magazine had an excellent program called Starry Nights on the cover disk. It's a cracking way to learn you way around the sky. All the best Gaz |
