Hi all,
This week the Sun seemed to be "on fire". A lot of large prominences where visible, and one of them was completely detached from the solar disk. I shot a few digital images with the Coolpix and the Coronado PST. They should give you an idea of what I saw, but I have to admit that the images don't come near to what I actually saw through the small solar scope. But anyway, if your interested in the observing reports, the settings of the camera and the image processing I applied, or you just want to enjoy the images, follow this link to my blog: http://www.backyard-astro.com/blog Clear Skies Math |
