Some 35 years ago I was lucky enough to see a moonbow when camping in
Tanzania. It was very strange with no colour visible to the naked eye. I set
up my camera and took a couple of time exposures but unfortunately the next
day my camera was stolen. I was more disappointed at losing the photo than
the camera (an SLR)

Seeing Pete Lawrence's moon pix reminded me of what I was thinking
watching
the moon last night.

It was very bright with a halo because of light cloud and I got to
wondering
if the moon can produce a rainbow when it's that bright.

I've not heard of it happening but maybe the more experienced have some
comments as to its possibility?

Cheers

Laurence
