Nearest city is Canterbury col Assuming 21:05 BST and location is Canterbury (51° 16' N, 1° 04' E), CdC calculates two satellites passing *close* to the Moon: Cosmos 405 Rk at 20:09 UT (above Moon) and Cosmos 2151 at 20:08 UT (below Moon). No satellites or Space Stations were forecasted to pass *over* the Moon yesterday. And since the Space Shuttle remained at home....may be a passing bird? or moth? sometimes it happens... In any case, if you like to check when and where ISS, Envisat or other sats are passing in youir sky, try http://www.heavens-above.com. Sats are so common now I expect most observers see 5 or 6 every time thay are out this one just happened to pass at the same time i was looking 2 seconds later or earlier and it would have been missed !
