I realise it's probably not polite to mess with the minds of the
reality challenged, but sometimes you just have to. I was doing some stuff on Comets, after the Deep Impact thing. Sheldon Nidle resurfaced, and I've long had a webpage exposing some really silly stuff that went on around the time of Hale Bopp. I asked if anyone could find the Australian representative of the Planetary Activation Organisation (the photon belt loonies of Sheldon Nidle), one Tony Wicks. Back in the time of Hale Bopp, he claimed that the spacecraft would land at Uluru (Ayers Rock), and 10,000 space ambassadors would setup camp. You would recognise them, because they would look like grasshoppers and bears etc. I wanted to give him the opportunity to explain or rebut what I had put up on my webpage. Lo and behold, he is still peddling the rubbish, and he is still the "coordinator" of the Australian chapter of the PAO. The subsequent explanation (and not surprisingly very brief email discussion) is he http://users.bigpond.net.au/wanglese/CometCrazy.html Select the New Age Nitwits link on the left, then select the "update" link in the right frame. Alternatively, go direct he http://users.bigpond.net.au/wanglese...its.html#Wicks Enjoy. -- Read all about Australia's biggets doomsday cult: http://users.bigpond.net.au/wanglese/pebble.htm "You can't fool me, it's turtles all the way down" |
