In a more honest world NASA would simply say that 1) the Shuttle is a stupid design with about a 1% chance of destruction per flight, and 2) we're gonna keep flying them just as they are for worthwhile purposes, such as repairing Hubble one last time and fulfilling our international commitments to the ISS. |
