No. Last time I checked Alabama was a red state. I used the acronyms MOC
and FAT as the manner in which to identify which center by state were
out of favor and in favor by the current administration. Out is MOC, as in
Maryland (GSFC), Ohio (GSC) and California (JPL). In favor was FAT, as in
Florida (KSC), Alabama (MSFC) and Texas (JSC). All you have done is make
me spell it out in more detail now, however. Red state/blue state.

Further, since I first used MOC and FAT about 6 months ago, Arnie has been
bending over backward for the GOP, especially at the RNC. And, Ohio was
the difference for Bush in the last election. That leaves Maryland on the
low end of the totem pole NASA-wise, which really was my basis for why
HST is getting the axe. But I'm glad you asked about MSFC and I'm glad to
be able to spell it out for you.

: No. Last time I checked Alabama was a red state.

: You are backtracking. To refresh your memory, your original statement was:

: "it ALL goes to Tom DeLay (JSC) and brother Jeb (KSC)"

: not

: "it ALL goes to red states."

Correct, as you pointed out. However, learning that my error excluded
Alabama, I responded that I wasn't in the least surprized with that.
Further, I went on to explain my MOC and FAT theory with a new update.

: You are a bald-faced liar and I will bother myself with you no more.

So is George Bush, but you undoubtedly voted for him.

: You will have to get your orbital mechanics education (and you need it -
: badly) elsewhere.

I have written a planetary program that rivals the accuracy of the ones at
JPL and various astronomy magazines. I even went to the USNO to get the
date of the last time Neptune was at perhelion. That at a time when the
Internet was still pretty much a research project. Further, as a result of
the work, which was purely a hobby BTW, I had the Astronomical Almanac
update their reference to the equation of the center as being in radians
as opposed to degrees as it wasn't obvious from their reference. You can
check that in the 1983 or 1984 version of the AA.

In short, if you don't like my politics, then you can stick it in your
ear, as I don't want or need your approval on anything.

On Wed, 26 Jan 2005 11:38:58 -0500, in a place far, far away, gregg
made the phosphor on my monitor glow in such a
way as to indicate that:

HAHAHAHHAHAHAAAA

Well Rand,

Evidently "endlessly" was exactly the RIGHT word and not hyperbole at all.

You haven't *ended* responding to Chomko.

And *I never claimed I had*. (Though most people would interpret
"endlessly" as "never failing to respond").

Do you *still* continue to be confused by the difference between
Chomko and "casioculture"?

I originally wrote in in BASIC and translated it into C with update
orbital elements from the JPL website.

Here today:
Enter date for planetary posistions calculation: (mm,dd,yyyy)
1,26,2005
Julian Day Number is: 2453396.5

Planet Longitude Latitude Distance (AU)
-----------------------------------------------------
Mercury 265.7277 -4.2996 0.4654
Venus 268.2482 -0.7016 0.7269
Earth 126.3685 0.0000 0.9846
Mars 235.2783 -0.1943 1.5372
Jupiter 188.0855 1.3046 5.4533
Saturn 112.9269 -0.0165 9.0501
Uranus 337.9836 -0.7691 20.0711
Neptune 324.5342 -0.4049 30.0239
Pluto 261.2090 8.2393 30.9076

I still have to add in the geocentric coordinates of right ascension and
declination. Geeze, I mispelled "positions" as well. The BASIC to C
conversion is incomplete.

I don't need your knowledge like it were some handout as your ability
regarding accuracy is in question.
