Well, it's a good deal when you look at the price of a C11 OTA.



What's really amazing is that they have such a screwed up price structure .
The aluminum C11 OTA only is priced higher than the same exact scope
together with the new steel tripod GC-5 mount . Basically, buy the OTA with
mount for $300 less than OTA alone, then sell the mount for whatever , say
$200 and you've just got a cheaper OTA , around $1500 instead of $2000 for
the OTA pricing . Weird .


Happens in products in many different fields - basically says that the
business school graduates who run companies these days think their
customers are a bunch of idiots. Maybe it's true?
