Hi,
I have buyed a Bresser 8x32 binocular, and I want to know if it's suitable for astronomy to see DSO's, planets (Jupiter,Saturn) ... Thanks, John Lewis. |

suitable for astronomy to see DSO's, planets (Jupiter,Saturn) ... Hi John, 8x32 is probably a bit on the small side for most astro uses. But on the other hand they should show you nice wide starfields well. You might be able to pick out Jupiter's brighter moon but i don't think you'll be able to see the rings of Saturn. You'll be able to see brighter deepsky objects like the Andromeda galaxy and Orion neb. -Florian |

Cruising down the Milky Way, open clusters, bigger globulars, the Andromeda galaxy, M42 in Orion, the Galilean (sp?) moons of Jupiter, the phase of Venus, the moon. Lots of stuff is possible. Ideal? No, for that you need an 18" dob, but you'll see lots of good stuff. Shawn |
