The pictures are
taken from Montreal, Canada (approx 45 degrees north, which makes it quite remarkable that we get to see such an intense aurora and covering so much sky). I live in Sweden at 63 degrees north, so Aurora is a pretty common sight to me. But I have never seen anything like your images. We had northen light that day to, bur not as much as you.
