Default How many want to go into space?

check out http://www.space.com/news/virgin_galactic_041022.html

For some reason a number of people are always posting that there is not
enough people wanting to do space hops so that the needed cash flow of
development of CATs to work.

If all the people mention above were to fly that would represent a cash flow
of about 1.5 billion dollars, ofcourse we know not all really will fly if
they could, but what percentage would?

And you would have to be really anti-space-flight-consumer if you think
everyone who possibly could be interested in a space hop has already booked
with Virgin. I know I have not as my price point is a lot lower.

not all will really fly if they could, and not all will get the chance
to even decide. in particular i don't know how good branson sr.'s
chances of actually making it into space are. nevertheless, i wonder
whether anyone still thinks that beregovoi is the odds-on favorite for
being the first-born astronaut at the end of time.

Now there's an interesting metric. Hmm. 1921... so call it 85 or up.
It's possible, but I doubt it'll go back more than five years or so.
