What type of scope are you carrying on your mount?

Any Newtonians on a CI 700 out there?

Heck, Any Pronto's?

John

10" Meade SCT. I just got Parallax rings for it and will be converting

from
just plain dovetail/riser blocks to rings. Why? I planned on getting a
short pier for the CI700 so I can mount my 8" f/6 dob OTA on it. The

rings
will make it easier to switch scopes. I really don't like lifting the

10"
OTA that high to slide into the dovetail.

You need to look at Robin Casady's Dovetail replacement. IT allows you to
easily put the dovetail on without having to try to "slide" it in. It's
great!

Mike.
