Default 48 Days & Counting...

But, what about YOUR credibility? You have none.

CBS's Dan Rather has by now lost all credibility in the eyes of the American public. Their "memo-gate" documents have been proven incontrovertibly by the world's foremost document experts to have been produced specifically by Microsoft Word for Windows using the default settings of TrueType 12 pt. Times New Roman, single line spacing, and one-inch margins, then put on a dusty old Xerox machine to make a copy, then a copy of that copy, then a copy of that copy and Violla! Anyone with Word for Windows installed on their computer can exactly replicate the documents which were falsely presented as authentic by Dan Rather last Wednesday evening on 60 Minutes. Amid harsh criticism, Mr. Rather had the unmitigated audacity to claim that these patently-obviously forgeries had (supposedly) been authenticated after six weeks of careful investigation and scrutiny by independent document experts. As it turns out, neither of their "experts" are board-certified forensic document scientists, and
neither has had any formal training in the field, and both have now gone on record that they couldn't confirm these documents' as genuine originals to whom they are attributed.

This raises several much larger and vastly more serious questions. First of all, WHY didn't the document forgers spend a few days shopping around at old junk shops and track down an old Olympia typewriter with the superscripting feature that would match the extant documents from that office circa 1972? Second, WHY would the producer of this 60 Minutes segment have allowed such obviously-forged documents to be presented on network television to many millions of American viewers as supposedly "authentic"? Even Dan Rather must've known that these alleged memos are forgeries, so Thirdly, WHY did Rather and his producer put their entire careers on the line for what surely would be found out by the public to be a bold-faced lie? Fourthly, WHY is CBS holding fast to their stance that these forged documents are somehow not forged? Don't they realize that they are digging themselves into a hole so deep that it could be their undoing? Who's in charge of CBS? Do their executive management and
board of directors realize how many Billions of dollars CBS will lose as advertisers start pulling the plug on your entire network operation? Think about it. At least three-fifths of your advertising dollars are coming from large corporations run by Republican voters. As news of CBS's continued refusal to come clean on this extremely serious "memo-gate" issue dominates front page and headline news right up there with hurricane Ivan, your Republican advertisers are going to start canceling their contracts and will sue CBS big time. CBS could be ruined if you keep sticking to your neck out with your big fat lie that your documents are somehow not forgeries. We all know that they are forgeries.

This is most unfortunate, because the reputation of CBS and the 60 Minutes program is rapidly deteriorating in the eyes of the American public. The proper thing to do is for Dan Rather to go on-record admitting that the documents are forgeries, using whatever lame-assed excuses he wants to, and forthwith declare that this will be his last news broadcast because he has tendered his resignation, and that he is permanently retiring from the profession of journalism, and he should apologize for the shame and financial harm which he and his producer have foisted upon the Central Broadcasting System, and he should apologize to the American public for so egregiously misleading them with DNC-forged propaganda during such an important wartime election year with Al-Qaeda threatening WMD strikes on American soil by or before the November election!

What were the staff of 60 Minutes thinking? I ask, what OTHER lies have they been telling us lately? And how many more lies have 60 Minutes told America since their inception decades ago? This "memo-gate" issue could be the downfall of 60 Minutes, or at least certainly has called their journalistic credibility into very serious question.

Such despicable acts of disseminating falsified documents clearly intended to besmirch the good reputation of President GW Bush-specifically because the Democrats are so very desperate as their extreme-left-wing candidate Hanoi John Kerry's pole numbers continue to decline, so desperate in fact that they'd be so sloppy and amateurish in producing their lame forgeries, such reprehensible acts are criminal, even treasonous!

Do the right thing, CBS. Immediately Axe Daniel Rather and his criminally-dishonest producer, and offer discounts to your advertisers to keep them from pulling the plug. Furthermore, CBS should take steps to ensure that such a debacle never happens again.

Meanwhile, please be vigilant, and be ever-watchful for suspicious, possibly terrorist-related activities as election day nears-now only 48 days away and counting. If you suspect a terrorist, especially an Al-Qaeda terrorist, call 911 or the FBI immediately!

Made in America,
Daniel Joseph Min
