Not only did I recognize it I added to it. Are YOU blind!?
Or, did you deep down think that an alt group of yours actually
had possibilities, therefore YOU missed MY satire? One wonders...

: "Without believable evidence"?

: I guess that's in the eye of the beholder.

Well two tourist launches in 45 years isn't too good. If you think the
first manned Sputnik isn't a fair begining date regarding tourist space
travel, then tell us what a good beginning date would be. Using the
actual first tourist lauch date isn't exactly fair either due to the fact
that it ignores any type of actual preparations.

: [1] These surveys may be proprietary or otherwise restricted, but he's

: Actually, in some cases I have stated that was the case. For

: they don't want people to have the information, costs $2500 dollars,
: and I'm certainly not going to repost its results on Usenet.

: By the way, I've heard rumors that they may be making it public in the
: future.

Maybe if a 1000 of us pitch in 2 and half bucks? Maybe they'll take
PayPal?

:
: Well, it's not as if anyone's asked *nicely* yet.

: No kidding.

Yeah, begging and ass-kissing appear to be what is needed. No thanks!

Entertainment is a two-way street. One wonders what question Christian

: Of course, when you break open a pinata, you get showered with toys

: he's full of...something else.

Hey, good one! Even for you and your general lack of wit...

:
: I know what the biggest one was, and for whom,
: but I don't know that Rand wants his friends and
: aquaintences posting his resume piecewise on
: Usenet so I will refrain from identifying it.

: Actually, I don't really care. There are no secrets in my past, at
: least as regards my space activities.

: He contributed to a major US study but he cant name it.
:
: I can't recall any specifics about any of the major
: studies anymore, they've all run together. Rand has
: confirmed his participation.

: I was the manager of the first Space Transportation Architecture Study
: for NASA and the Air Force when I was at Rockwell back in the
: mid-eighties. I also managed the NASP-Derived Vehicle Applications
: studies for them. I provided some inputs to the Commercial Space
: Transportation Study after leaving Rockwell in 1993.

You, an actual manager? Boy, I'd love to hear the stories from those you
managed. I bet that would fill a book!

: I'm willing to except Rand may be a respected Space person for the US
: community, but that just emphasis my point that he's not a space tourism
: expert. Most of the in-depth analysis from a business and marketing
: perspective I've seen on space tourism has been completed by Germans and in
: particular the Japanese, the US has tended to focus on short term things
: related to startup joy rides etc. His rejection of a major study and his
: obvious lack of knowledge supports that.

: I wonder what "rejection of a major study" he's fantasizing about? I
: didn't reject any studies, major or otherwise.

: And, unfortunately for your thesis, the Japanese and
: German groups are well represented at US space conferences.
: What they are doing is part of the US body of literature.

: I think that Hartmut Mueller, or Patrick Collins, or Mizuzu Onuki
: would find amusing the notion that I know nothing about space tourism.

Well what happened to Lance Bass (from NSYNC - heck what happened to THAT
band?!) and the Radio Shack sponsored mission? I figured it would have
flown by now?

Who are other sponsors willing to invest in the space tourism industry?
Until they step up you ain't got no industry.

Somehow there appears to be more "Rands" then there are people like Dennis
Tito and Shuttleworth.

The mushroom cloud occurred near their Daepodong missile base, and the
mushroom cloud was four miles in diameter (or more) and it occurred on
September 9th, the 56th anniversary of the founding of North Korea's
communist regime.

And they're saying they don't think it was an above-ground test of a
nuclear weapon?

Well, I did hear it claimed that there was more energy in the fuel tanks
of a Saturn V rocket than in an atomic bomb. Perhaps North Korea's
attempt to put its first man into space failed?

That would be typical priorities: most of the population is
starving to death, but let's get a Korean in space!

- Iread that if it were a nuclear explosion, the U.S. would have
known in seconds because of the Gamma radiation that would have been
almost instantly detected by satellite...
