Science and Religion

If you're interested in science and in religion, and wish
the two were more in agreement, you're invited to a free
download of the book "Science Without Bounds:
A Synthesis of Science, Religion, and Mysticism"

When the expert religionists of ancient Egypt made up their religion the
result was multifaceted and clever, with many levels of meaning. For
them, science was everyday observation.

A thousand years later, when the herding tribesmen made up their religion
it naturally addressed their concerns, patriarchal moral structures,
uppity wives and daughters, health dangers from food and conditions, and
of course, who deserved killin'.. Science was in its dark and
superstitious infancy.

When the guilt-ridden men of the first century made up their religion they
included OODLES of psychology, but reliable natural sciences were the last
thing they wanted..

I think scientists should conjure up a religion for us today. It
certainly couldn't be any worse than our ignorance-derived presently
surviving orthodoxies.
