Default RASCals 2004 Star Party

Rich Willis of the RASC in Victoria, Canada, sent me the following star party
announcement. I am posting it for your information. I hope some of you may be
in the North West or near British Columbia, and be able to attend.

Hi Ed

My name is Rich Willis, I'm the Vice President of the Royal Astronomical
Society of Canada (Victoria, BC. Chapter) and the Star Party Chairman for
our group.

The RASC is a none profit society who's mandate is to further the interest
in Astronomy, to educate the public and to bring the joy of the night sky to
as many people as possible. We have a school education program that
includes: Lectures, evening Star Parties, and a telescope lending program.
We also participate in Astronomy Day at the Royal British Columbia Museum,
Public viewing nights (Saturday and Sunday nights) at the Dominion
Astrophysical Observatory in Saanich BC. as well as Sidewalk Astronomy at
local libraries in Victoria and surrounding areas.

All the monies raised at any event as well as our annual membership fee's go
to the purchase of educational material and equipment for our lending and
education programs.

We are holding our annual RASCal's Star Party on Sept 19th through Sept 21st
and I was wondering if you would be able to place this information in your
announcement area?

A tad late announcing it, aren't you?

Best,

Likely they plan to view Mar's while it is still close, so have moved
the event back to 2003 :-)

You folks must be going to a different site or something. I see a link
to photos from their 2003 star party, but that link appears in a box
on the 2004 page. You're not expecting 2004 photos from an event that
hasn't happened yet, are you?

Clue: It was a response to (part of) the contents of the OP's post.

Best,
