Hi:

I would HOPE Meade has the sense not to let as many really bad ones get out the
door as they did in the LXD55 debacle. Time will tell...

I've read more than one complaint about the 10" scopes not balancing
with the new finder. I guess it's not a big deal though as long as it's
not too far off.

I'm just waiting for a good chance to pick one of the mounts up cheap on
ebay.

Anyone know if the 8" SCT uses the same standard OTA as the LX90/200 etc?
Is the white tube the only difference?

Here's a decent review:

Hi:

Yep. Saw that one, and I believe it's probabbly more indicative of what

the
scopes are like than the person on the LXD75 list who is posting about
bearings, the spreader, balance with the finder, etc. Now the person in
question could _certainly_ have received a dog, no doubt about that. But

from
reading the posts where he's related the problems he's having, I'm not

sure
that it would be wise to put too much credance in what he's saying.

Peace,

Hi:

Same basic OTA. No mirror lock ala' the LX200GPS, but same optics, etc.
