meteor in Casselberry.... it was something... we spoke to many residents this evening.

My husband & I live in Casselberry, FL, & at the same time & date did
hear the loud explosion & extreme light that the first person
explains. As did many others in our close proximity. NASA on the East
Coast -is too far away, as was every local fireworks display in
town....... it was definitely in the Casselberry/Winter Springs area.
Local fireworks could never equal what we heard.

This evening we drove to the different areas in question, stopped our
car and talked to many residents. MANY had heard it and were
wondering. And wanted to learn what it really was !!!

One resident living near the area for 25 years, explained he had
walked outside, his guests were inside, and he witnessed and heard the
oddity...said most of his pictures fell off his walls. He also
explained that when he was at the store last wk, a long-time
Casselberry policeman had brought up the incident at the check-out
counter...asking this man if he too had seen and heard the indicent.
He asked the cop..... 'You too?' 'What the heck was it?

The Casselberry police friend of his said he was aware of the
incident, and aware that they believe someone had called NASA, and
NASA had not commented. That was all he knew. And, that was all we
learned tonight.

So, for all you folks out poking fun - it DID happen, but we have no
answers.
