Default Repost:Proposed New Station Unit?

Hello,
Several years ago I read that a second unit for experiments was (almost)
finished & was scheduled to be launched in 2003. This unit was going to
carry out the processing of pure crystals for electronics, alloys, plastics,
metals, ect.

Now of course, because of the shuttle crash it will not be launched any time
soon, but I was wondering the status of this unit/project, & where is it
being stored?

Joel

P.S. When I posted this several months ago I did not get any response. Just
because of the shuttle crash it does not mean operations cannot continue on
the SS. In fact, it could work even better using conventional rockets to
transport men & materials to the SS. Also, I suspect that because of other
postings there have been attempts to now block my current postings, so if
any 1 does see this I would appreciate a response.
