Default Quick Galaxy Question

Hello!
I am just passing through to ask a quick question...
If the earth is a part of our solar system, and our solar system is a part
of our galaxy (The Milky Way I believe), then what is our galaxy a part of?
Are there many levels before we just say 'and that is a part of the whole
universe'??
Thanks in advance!
David

Default Quick Galaxy Question

There are only a few more levels that I am aware of, before it is jsut
considered to be 'the universe'.

To continue from where you left off:

Our Galaxy is part of the Local Group of galaxies (which includes The
Andromeda Galaxy). The Local group is then part of the Virgo
Supercluster, which is comprised to various other local groupings. These
superclusters, i believe, have been primitively mapped out to a sort of
filamentary of the universe (the 2DF survey did this I think)
