Default Amazing Venus Shots with a C14

Hi guys:

Have y'all seen the shot of Venus' surface done with a C14? Interesting, to say
the least.

This shot is fantastic, but I'm not sure that the word "surface" is the
right word ?
May be atmosphere would be better?

Hi:

The point of the shot is that it's believed he HAS imaged the surface.

I saw this the other day - it's an incredible shot. Another amateur
barrier removed.

Hi:

The point of the shot is that it's believed he HAS imaged the surface.

I've read the website of Ch Pellier here
http://astrosurf.com/pellier/venusthermique .
He says "That is why it seems more than likely that atmospheric formations
play here a big role".
Unfortunately, this sentence does not appear on the english version of the
page (here http://astrosurf.com/pellier/venusthermal ).

Anyway it's a great picture.

Hi:

If/when correspondance of image features with radar mapped surface
features is confirmed/refuted we will know if he's imaging surface or
atmosphere; looks like lots of work still to do, but plainly
fascinating. Even if it's eventually demonstrated he's imaging
atmosphere, that's still quite an achievement, since IIRC the atmosphere
is basically telescopically featureless. Possibly imaging the night side
allows atmospheric features to be observed that are otherwise washed out
in the dayside glow.
