That other Al has some mysterious way of bringing out the worst in me. I can't explain it. Well, maybe I can. He accused a friend of lying. Now, back to astronomy... I have the 13mm T6 and am extremely happy with it. As a matter of fact, I have 2 of them for bino use in a 12" SCT. Clear Skies, Dave Jessie Let's get this straight, I have no ax to grind and I did not call your friend a liar, although he did call me some names. Frankly folks, I don't give a rat's behind what you believe! I just related my experience so you can accept it or deny it...that's up to you. I wish that Al (the other Al) finds my story to be inaccurate and that he gets some great deals. Let us know how you make out. Al |

Since I started this thread, I thought I'd let you know how I made
out. I did go to NEAF last weekend and loved everything about it! As for the Televue sale, I didn't get what I wanted, but I managed to pick up a 6mm Radian for $150 which seemed like a pretty good deal to me (about 37% off). I was also there, and missed the bulk of the sale. I did go through the
"leftovers" and picked up a 2" 4x Powermate for $130. It was the old style (set screw), but otherwise it looks brand new! Not even an NEAF mark on it! A great deal, no matter how I looked at it... You must have gotten to the table pretty early. I got one of those myself, and after making the rounds of the rest of the tables I checked the TV board and the 6mm's were all sold out. Couldn't have been more than an hour. I also picked up the Click Stop Zoom. Well worth the trip. Richard in Boston, MA, USA |
