"The concepts of time (spacetime) in quantum theory and GR are thus drastically different and CANNOT BOTH BE FUNDAMENTALLY TRUE."http://hindawi.com/journals/isrn/2013/509316/ Whatever the wording 'fundamentally true' means. The simple quantum mechanic ignores relativistic effects and can be applied to many cases with high degree of accuracy. The relativistic quantum mechanic includes such effects to some degree. The GR does not include quantum effects and describes other scenario of the nature. In some cases gravitation can be neglected, in other cases quantum effects can be neglected. Afaik, there is not such one theory for all yet. A theory must also be applicable or computable. Therefore it makes sense to apply the simplest theory that gives the wanted accuracy. |
