HI Mark:

You know what y'all used to have that I liked? A (weekly, was it?) summary of
s.a.a. What did you call it?

Peace,

Do you permit simultaneous posting of an ad on your site and one of the
other ones such as Astrofieds?

Of course. I view services like these much the same as classifieds in a
newspaper. Newspapers do not restict you, do they?

One last question. I've asked you this by e-mail but it will probably
interest the whole newsgroup. Exactly how do you define "vendor" as opposed
to "private party"?

I ask because I've been told conflicting things by another classified ad
site about this.

In my case, I'm the author of several books, which are manufactured,
advertised, and sold by Cambridge University Press. I do not sell them
myself, and by contract, I am not expected to spend my own money advertising
them.

I want to use the classified ads to sell a few pieces of my personal
astronomy equipment secondhand. Am I a vendor?

Michael,

There is no distinction drawn at all. Astronomy-Mall's classifeds are entirely
free. Vendors are welcome to post there freely, without charge. If I
understand correctly, other services charge dealers or anyone suspected of being
commercial.

Duh... I just realized you said it's free both ways, so I don't have
anything to fear if you raise my dues from $0 to $0.

Thanks!

In your case, Michael, I'll raise it twice as much ;-)
