The justification for WW II was pure empiricism, the survival of the fittest as a law of nature based on civilized/savage following on from the laws of motions/physics/gravity or any variation on that theme -

" A lopsided education has helped to encourage that illusion. Man must realize that a fundamental law of necessity reigns throughout the whole realm of Nature and that his existence is subject to the law of eternal struggle and strife. He will then feel that there cannot be a separate law for mankind in a world in which planets and suns follow their orbits, where moons and planets trace their destined paths, where the strong are always the masters of the weak and where those subject to such laws must obey them or be destroyed." Hitler

The real cruelty of the last war was that the convictions that drove it were never touched and when I see the weak-minded fools who still promote the empirical doctrine it seems like the sacrifices of brave men were for nothing.

But _what_ was Hitler wrong about?

Was he wrong to say that the forces of natural selection apply to human beings
just as pitilessly as to animals?

No: but he was wrong about how we should _respond_ to that fact.

Taken as a perspective ,Darwin's ideology that evolution between white humans and baboons plays out in real time with negro and aboriginals as intermediaries is intellectually offensive but not academically racial or prejudicial however what is exceptionally horrifying is the morphing of the story which inserts Neanderthals as intermediaries where modern humans with black skin once occupied . A lie built on a falsehood and washed clean by generations of academics can't disguise the core empirical propaganda adopted by the Nazi regime and paid for by generations of Germans.

The ultimate dystopian society that drove a population into extermination mode was the movement from intellectual eccentricity to downright insanity and despite Orwell's novel based on Nazi doctrine, the empirical scheme just keeps on sailing -

"For quite long periods, at any rate, people can remain undisturbed by obvious lies, either because they simply forget what is said from day to day or because they are under such a constant propaganda bombardment that they become anaesthetized to the whole business" Orwell

You are all part of something until the day you wake up and discover you are part of nothing meaningful. Even in this highly dystopian arena where life begins and ends at the local horizon under a rotating celestial sphere dome the great insights and observations fight for attention and as long as there are good people out there they will break through eventuall.
