Premature end to static fire test this week led to postponement.
As per public information from NASASpaceFlight.com see: http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2014/...alcon-9-crs-5/ In conjunction with holidays and high beta positioning of ISS during the dates 12/28/14 to 1/7/15. Reschedule date is Tuesday 1/6/15. Still holding out hope that SpaceX with live stream booster recovery attempt and that one or more drones or an orbiting aircraft will be able to provide video. Certainly could understand if SpaceX chooses not to live stream, however this would be a "historic occasion". Maybe some gentle nudging from the fan base would help? ;-) Dave |

From Livestream
CRS-5 Launch Tuesday, January 6th, 2015 at 6:00 AM EST on spacex After five successful missions to the International Space Station, including four official resupply missions for NASA, SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft are set to liftoff from Launch Complex 40 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida, for their fifth official Commercial Resupply (CRS) mission to the orbiting lab. The launch is currently targeted for Tuesday, January 6 at 6:20am EST. A live launch webcast will begin at approximately 6:00am EST. If all goes as planned... No mention is made as to whether the first stage booster recovery attempt will be live streamed. (Back in the day we used to say televised. ;-) Dave |
