Default Galactic orientation

Looking out into the celestial arena, some of those stars are ahead of our system in their motion around the galactic axis, others are closer to the galactic center than we are while others are above or below our position while other stars are towards the outer rim of the spiral arms.

Upholding RA/Dec and a rotating celestial sphere scaffolding is such a catastrophic thing to do and blocks any discussion on Milky Way structure from the point of view of which local stars are moving ahead of us in our galactic orbital motion and those that are in rear view.

The great questions are here insofar as they naturally expand outwards to the external galaxies and the motion of the foreground stars to those other stellar islands. Of course with empiricists and their exploding Universe there is no room for discussing the important things is astronomy.
