Just like means you are about to draw a comparison
You just compared christ and said he was going to get rid of symbols and in
effect suggested that you would show that his own witnesses would do that

But what you actually said was that the witnesses saw christ reappear
you didn't show how they were like him at all in this mysterious appearing
and reappearing act or getting rid of symbols
