The current issue of "Radio Times" (dated 5-11 May 2012) includes an
interview with Patrick Moore. Furthermore, on Thursday 10th May, BBC4 seems to be holding an (unofficial) astronomy evening: 1930: "The Sky at Night" (30 mins). This month's extended edition. 2000: "The Sky at Night" (60 mins). The hour-long 700th edition from March 2011. (Crumbs, where did that year go?) 2100: "The Two Thousand Year Old Computer" (60 mins). A documentary about the Antikythera Mechanism. 2200: "Do We Really Need the Moon?" (60 mins). A repeat of the 2011 documentary. And the whole lot is repeated from 0100 on Friday (although the running order of the last two programmes is reversed). As from tomorrow this schedule should be visible at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/program...les/2012/05/10 -- "There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes." |
