Default 120 Degrees!

Had a look at the latest Sky and Telescope.

Hadn't been following it much of late, I'm sad to say, but yesterday I
decided to go ahead as I wanted to look up some ideas.

Anyways, I've learned that times have been very exciting for amateur
astronomers in one area.

First, TeleVue finally fulfilled Al Nagler's dream - they went beyond
the 100 degree Ethos to the 110 Ethos SX, now matching the performance
of the eyepiece used in the Apollo Lunar [Excursion] Module simulator
that he had previously designed.

Then, Explore Scientific decided to go whole hog, and since Koehler
proved it could be done back when he designed a periscope eyepiece for
German U-boats, they've come out with an eyepiece with a 120 degree
apparent field.
