Are you an expert on Venus? I'd like to hear your comment about
a rumor I heard. Some guys are mapping the surface of Venus by
radar. In an image that overlapped one from a month earlier,
they noticed a large, flat and highly reflective spot that
hadn't been there before. One of them said "I think it's a HUGE
POOL OF MOLTEN STEEL!" What do you think?

Steel Sheet Or Carbon Steel? The Japanese would be very demandingly
strict in your definition here! But I don't see the surface
temperature of Venus supporting the molten state of imported steel or
any iron found there! And last I hear to only vulcanism on Venus is a
rapid turn over of the surface by Outflowing Lava as the built up heat
inside of Venus is released - and is a once in a great while
occurance! Lead is a good canidate to be molten there! I don't see
any such concentrations of such. But lead sulfide and bismuth sulfide
snow has been reported existing on higher elevations on Venus! The
surface of Venus is very reflective due to such as iron sulfites and
other compositional natures on the crust! But, I don't keep up on
such as the radar story!
