I think it's probably an anchor, since some ship's anchors have
non-traditional styles.

It looks too artificial to be a giant trilobite, unfortunately...

It looks a lot like a bulkhead out of a submarine; in fact, it looks
like a bulkhead out of a submarine designed by Simon Lake, which had a
rectangular ballast tank inside the bottom of the hull shaped like that,
so as not to infringe on John Holland's patents.
